And it's not like the company was given any warning Sepa was coming. It was sprung on it with only five years notice.
So, this happened late last night.
Fianna Fáil. They haven’t gone away you know.
In fact, the party is now tied for first place with Fine Gael, according to the latest Irish Times /Ipsos MRBI poll with the party of government lags behind Fianna Fáil in each region outside Dublin.
Support for Sinn Féin has stayed unchanged at 21 per cent since the last Irish Times poll in December. Labour is down one to a pretty miserable 8 per cent while Independents and Others are now on 21 per cent or up three points.
Almost 3,000 more drivers were clamped in Dublin last year than in 2012, according to the city’s parking appeals officer Bill Keilthy.
It emerged last month that clamping company Dublin Street Parking Services (DSPS) had been set a target by Dublin City Council to clamp 60,000 vehicles a year, writes Olivia Kelly.
The council had told the company it was not happy with the number of cars clamped in 2012, according to a letter sent by DSPS management to staff last year.
The number of vehicles clamped, relocated or towed last year increased to 56,285, up from 53,525 in 2012, according to the annual report of the appeals officer. While enforcement levels have increased, they are still short of the targets set by the council for the service to break even.
I heard the man who found the two-foot rat in a house in City West being interviewed on the Ray Darcy Show this morning.
The size of a cat, the rat was. The size of a cat.

AirBnB - or however it is written - is opening its new office in Dublin today. Twitter (or at least a small section of it) is getting very excited by this fact.
Not the Daily Wire though.

The good people at Nama have sold a portfolio of development loans owed by debtors in Northern Ireland. The loans involved original borrowings of £4.5 billion (€5.5 billion) and were secured by assets in Northern Ireland, the Republic, Britain and other locations in Europe.
Among the assets were the Lanyon Plaza and the Soloist buildings in Belfast, developed by William Ewart properties. It is the largest single transaction by the bad bank since it was set up to clear development loans from Ireland’s main banks.
And how much did they sell it for?
In a statement Nama said the terms of transaction are commercially sensitive and are not being disclosed but followed an extensive and competitive sales process involving bidders from Europe and the US.
Seven-times Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher, who suffered serious head injuries in a December skiing incident, is making progress and showing signs of waking from an artificial coma, his agent said today. “Michael is making progress on his way. He shows moments of consciousness and awakening,“ Sabine Kahm said in a statement.
Lawyers for Ian Bailey have told the High Court they only recently got “entirely new” material relevant to his civil action for damages over alleged wrongful arrest in connection with the west Cork murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
The material in 12 boxes of documents received in the last two weeks includes 130 tapes, including tapes of “hundreds and hundreds” of contacts between gardaí and journalists, Martin Giblin SC said.
His side had been unaware of that material and the extent of that contact with journalists which was “beyond belief”. The tapes were of “differential quality” and transcripts of them had been provided. His side would also want to inspect the material, counsel added.
12:48Well this is amazing.... A skydiver on the way down films a meteorite flying passed him.

14:27The Central Bank is forecasting another surge in employment this year underpinned by an acceleration in export growth and a recovery in domestic demand.
In its second quarterly outlook of 2014, the bank predicted unemployment would fall from 13.1 per cent in 2013 to 11.3 per cent this year, and to 10.4 per cent in 2015.
The rate of jobs growth in Ireland’s post-crash economy has confounded economists as it has coincided with a contraction in domestic demand.
14:36An 80-year-old grandmother from LA was allegedly still alive when she was bundled into a body bag and put in a hospital morgue where she froze to death while trying to to escape according to her family.
They are suing the hospital after getting the green light from an appeals court . Maria de Jesus Arroyo was declared dead in summer 2010 after being rushed to White Memorial Medical Center in Boyle Heights in Los Angeles after a heart attack.
More details here.
14:38The US Attorney General Eric Holder has confirmed that a Justice Department investigation into high-frequency trading has been launched.
Nama's been busy today.
It'll be Ugg Boots all round down by the Grand Canal after the shadowy/secretive/brilliant agency acquired the 30 per cent of loans connected with the Dundrum Town Centre that it does not hold.
So now Nama full control over the future of the towncentre, Ireland’s biggest retail complex, and could lead to it being sold in the near future.
Google has mapped. Angkor Wat.
