  • Plenty of pre-match reading for you there. Our focus will primarily be on the Tipperary v Clare clash in Thurles. But we'll have updates from all of the (2pm throw-in) matches. Less than five minutes to go . . .
  • Tipperary 0-0 Clare 0-0 (1') Game on, Tipp come away with the throw-in and drive it in on top of their inside line - a mis-match is expected there today with a Clare fullback line who have been struggling - but Clare deal with it.
  • Tipperary 0-1 Clare 0-1 (3') Shane O'Donnell is fouled and Peter Duggan taps over the first score of the game. Down the other end and John McGrath is dragged down - with Jason Forde scoring his first free.
  • Tipperary 0-2 Clare 0-1 (5') Bonner Maher does excellently to win a high ball and a free when surrounded by Clare defenders. Forde scores the free
  • Tipperary 0-3 Clare 0-1 (7') Talk about instincts! Jason Forde snaps up a breaking ball, shortens the hurl and drives it over the bar in a split second.

John Conlon - another man in form - gets one back after great work from Tony Kelly. BUT hawk-eye rules it out!

  • Hawk-eye is very slow here in Thurles! Noel McGrath is on for Dan McCormack who took a heavy knock to the head while competing for a high ball
  • Limerick 1-6 Waterford 0-2 (10') Limerick dominating the opening stages. Gearoid Hegarty with the goal
  • Tipperary 1-4 Clare 0-1 (12')  Brilliant GOAL for Tipp. Billy McCarthy takes on his man, steps right and buries his shot in the top right corner.

  • London's goal in Ruislip came via Ryan Elliot. They trail Louth by a point
  • Leinster SFC semi-finals

    L Laois 0-2 Carlow 0-1

Peter Duggan gets one back for Clare

  • Louth 1-8 London 1-4 (20') Ronan Holcroft raises a green flag for Louth, as the hosts lose Martin Carroll to a black card
  • Tipperary 1-8 Clare 0-4 (22')  Jason Forde (after winning the free himself following a brilliant catch) and Duggan exchange frees.

  • After 25 minutes in Croke Park there's only been five points, and Laois lead Carlow by one point
  • Tipperary 1-9 Clare 0-5 (26')  A Duggan free is squeezed between two long range crackers from Noel and John McGrath.

  • London 1-7 Louth 1-10 (29') Goalscorer Ronan Holcroft keeps the three points between the teams in Ruislip.

  • Tipperary 1-10 Clare 0-6 (31')  Goal chance for Clare. Duggan wins the breaks from a high ball into him, goes straight for goal but his shot is blocked. He misses the 65. An eighth wide for the Banner.

  • Tipperary 1-10 Clare 0-7 (32')  Tony Kelly takes on his man and flicks over a point. A badly needed one for Clare

  • London 1-8 Louth 2-11 (33') Conor Grimes gets Louth's second goal. They lead by six now
  • Tipperary 1-10 Clare 0-9 (35') Four in a row for Clare. A free from Duggan - good character from him after his earlier missed 65 - and another from Kelly.

Three minutes of first half additional time to be played.

  • Jason Forde takes a free from deep in his own halfback line, but it hits the post. No Tipp score in over 10 minutes! Podge Collins comes on for Conor McGrath.

  • Limerick 2-16 Waterford 1-9 (41') Tommy Ryan with a goal and lifeline for the Deise
  • Tipperary 1-14 Clare 0-12 (45')  Jason Forde floats over a 65. Duggan taps over a free in response.

  • Tipperary 1-15 Clare 0-14 (49')  Conlon pulls on a breaking ball inside, but there's not enough in it to reach the goal. Cathal Barrett's clearance is a poor one and Clare win a free which Duggan converts.

John McGrath and Duggan (free) then exchange scores.

  • Tipperary 1-17 Clare 0-16 (55')  Bonner and then John McGrath settle things down for Tipp. Four up again.

  • Tipperary 1-18 Clare 0-16 (58')  Jason Forde's free is Tipp's third point in a row, at a crucial time when Clare were really on top.

  • Tipperary 1-19 Clare 0-17 (60')  Duggan's free is cancelled out by a beauty from Seamus Callanan. The Tipp corner forward doubles on a ball over his shoulder in the right corner. Silky!

  • Carlow 0-6 Laois 0-9 (59') Laois continue to keep their noisy neighbours at arm's length. Coming into the last 10 minutes and their lead is up to three points
  • London 1-18 Louth 2-21 (60') Conor Grimes puts Louth six up.

In the hurling Limerick lead by 12. So we'll keep our focus on the action in Thurles and Croke Park

  • Tipperary 1-19 Clare 1-18 (65')  Tipp hit the post at one end, it's worked all the way down the other end and Ian Galvin buries a GOAL to leave just one point between the teams!

  • Tipperary 1-20 Clare 1-18 (68')  Callanan squeezes over his second point to ease the pressure.

But Noel McGrath responds straight away

  • Tipperary 1-21 Clare 1-22 (74')  Catahl Barret's clearance is a poor one. It's worked ot Podge Collins who floats ot over.

    Munster SHC round 4

    FT        Limerick 2-26 Waterford 1-16

    FT      Tipperary 1-21 Clare 1-23

  • What a turnaround. Tipp were the better team for the vast majority of that game but their sloppy fouling kept Clare in it, and that Ian Galvin goal summed the game up. Tipp hit the post and Clare gather the rebound and raise a green flag at the other end. What a game!

Meanwhile Carlow are denied an historic Leinster final appearance by Laois, Louth get their first win of the year in London, and Limerick hurlers hammer Waterford.

So Waterford and Tipperary are out of the hurling championship, in the second week of June. Remarkable.

  • Dublin 0-0 Longford 0-0 (1') Longford win the throw-in as we get underway in the second game of the day in Croke Park. James McGivney hits the first wide of the game. Longford playing with the wind at their backs
  • Dublin 0-2 Longford 0-0 (2') Phily McMahon gets the first score of the mach and Con O'Callaghan taps over the second.
  • Dublin 0-3 Longford 0-1 (4') All so easy for Dublin so far. Ciaran Kilkenny gets point number three for the hosts.

Longford so far shooting very erratically, but Robbie Smith eventually gets them underway.

  • Dublin 0-3 Longford 0-2 (5')  Robbie Smith is a very good player as is former AFL professional Michael Quinn who gets Longford's second point.

  • Dublin 0-4  Longford 0-3 (7')  Paddy Andrews is forced on to his left foot, and makes no mistake with his first effort of the game. Donal McElligott then drives forward and gets Longford's third point!

  • Dublin 0-6  Longford 0-3 (11')  Excellent possession play from Longford but a misplaced pass is punished by Dean Rock. Brian Fenton then gets another point.

  • Dublin 0-8  Longford 0-3 (14')  Brian Howard and Dean Rock from a free put five between the teams. Longord going long on their kickouts but they are being swamped out on the breaking ball.

  • Donegal 0-4 Down 0-0 (15') Game changer as Neil McGee is sent off shortly after Caolan Ward puts Donegal four ahead
  • Dublin 1-8  Longford 0-4 (18')  Excellent play from Padraig McCormack and Robbie Smyth floats over a free.

But Dean Rock then gets a goal as Michael Dara Macauley squares it to his corner forward to palm into an empty net.

  • Dublin 1-8  Longford 0-4 (21')  Red card for James McGivney. He hit Stpehen Cluxton a shoulder in the air. A nasty enough challenge but it didn't look a red card. Evan Comerford is on as a blood sub for the Dublin goalkeeper.

  • Dublin 2-9  Longford 0-4 (23')  More problems from the Longford kickout. Dublin turn it over and Paul Mannion smashes Dublin's second goal!

  • Donegal 1-8 Down 0-1 (24') After 24 minutes Caolan Mooney gets Down's first point against 14-man Donegal
  • Dublin 2-11  Longford 0-6 (31')  Robbie Smyth points a free after Dessie Reynolds is taken out by Jonny Cooper. No card for the Dublin defender. Smith then adds another before James McCarthy gets his first.

  • Leinster SFC semi-finals

    FT        Laois 0-12 Carlow 0-8

    HT Dublin 2-13 Longford 0-7

    Ulster SFC semi-final

    HT Donegal 1-12 Down 0-7

    FT        London 1-19 Louth 2-24

    Munster SHC round 4

    FT        Limerick 2-26 Waterford 1-16

    FT      Tipperary 1-21 Clare 1-23

  • Dublin 2-13  Longford 0-7 (35')  Darren Daly and Jack McCaffrey on for Mick Fitzsimons and Jonny Cooper at half time. Second half underway!

  • Dublin 2-14  Longford 0-7 (38')  Excellent Paddy Collum save to deny Paul Mannion. It's brought back for a late hit on Fenton however and Dean Rock's free is the first score of the second half.

  • Dublin 2-14  Longford 0-8 (40')  A brilliant score from Reynolds, out on the right wing. Evan Comerford's kickout however doesn't cover the required distance. The ball is hopped and MacAuley wins it.

  • Dublin 2-14  Longford 0-9 (42')  Darren Gallagher, a very talented footballer in the middle of the park for Longford, gets Longford's third point of the second half after Dean Rock had rattled the crossbar.

*Hawk-eye rules that Longford score out

  • Donegal 2-15 Down 0-7 (44') Jamie Brennan gets Donegal's second goal after a nice Paddy McBrearty point. They now lead by 14.
  • Dublin 2-14  Longford 0-10 (48')  Colm Basquel and Kevin McManamon on for Dublin after McGivney kicks Longford's third point of the second half.

  • Dublin 2-16  Longford 0-11 (50')  Barely on the field and Basquel gets on the scoresheet after excellent work by McCaffrey.

Sean McCormack responds with a great score from the left corner, only for Basquel to get his second straight afterwards

  • Dublin 2-17  Longford 0-12 (56')  Dublin, again, over-elobarate when a goal chance was on. Longford come on the counter, and Gallagher and Padraig McCormack combine to set up Brady for a nice point.

Dean Rock then scores a free after Mickey Quinn departs on a black card for a trip.

  • Dublin 2-19  Longford 0-12 (58')  Ciaran Kilkenny and Rock (free) extend the Dublin lead as Paul Flynn comes on for Macauley

  • Donegal 2-18 Down 0-9 (55') Pady McBrearty with a free to put 15 points in it. Not many seen this result coming!!
  • Leinster SFC semi-finals

    FT  Laois 0-12 Carlow 0-8

    L Dublin 2-21 Longford 0-12

    Ulster SFC semi-final

    L Donegal 2-19 Down 0-11

    All-Ireland SFC qualifier  round 1

    FT London 1-19 Louth 2-24

    Munster SHC round 4

    FT  Limerick 2-26 Waterford 1-16

    FT Tipperary 1-21 Clare 1-23

  • Dublin 2-23  Longford 0-12 (68') Longford really feeling it now, playing with 14 men since the 21st minute. Fenton gets his third point, two with his right and one with his left. And Scully then gets another

  • Dublin 2-24  Longford 0-12 (67') In the first of four additonal minutes, Fenton gets his fourth point from midfield

  • So that's that . . . In the two late throw-ins Dublin hammer Longford, and slightly more surprisingly Donegal do likewise against Down.

Earlier, Clare's last ditch win over Tipp knocked the latter out of this year's hurling championship. While Waterford also bowed out after a heavy defeat against Limerick. Carlow's Leinster final dream was ended by Laois and Louth enjoyed their first win of the year in London.

Match reports and analysis are flowing in, and we'll be back again next weekend for the Connacht football final and the final weekend of the Munster hurling round-robin series. Until then, thanks for joining us.
