    Good morning!

Welcome to our coverage of the draw for the last-16 of the Champions League.

It might be a bitter Monday in the depths of December, but a welcome distraction is at hand to tie you over until dinner time.

At 11.0am the five English teams who made it through the group stages will find out who they will face in the knockouts in February - and there are some heavyweight ties in the offing.

We'll be bringing you all of the action - or lack of it - from Nyon, so make yourself a brew and try to look busy whenever your boss walks past.

    Come on!!!

After a relative drought on the continent the English clubs have been resurgent so far in this year's competition, with all five representatives - Manchester United qualified by virtue of their Europa League win - comfortably reaching the last-16.

It's the first time England have had five sides in the knockout stages of the competition, and it is pretty much nailed on one of them will be playing one of the big boys next year.

Topping your group seems like a pretty futile act when your reward could be a clash against Real Madrid, Juventus or Bayern Munich. Such is life.

Then again, Chelsea came second and could get Barca or PSG. Damned if you do...

DaveM North west England a lot happier than London - as it should be.

Good draws for Manchester United and Liverpool against Sevilla and Porto - and the dream draw for Manchester City against FC Basel.

Chelsea against Barcelona is one of the ties of the round, while Spurs and Juve is a fascinating match up.

The tie of the round is arguably Real Madrid against PSG. Old money against new - 12 European Cups against a big fat zilch.
