Hello and Welcome . . . Last weekend was the start of the 2018 Leinster hurling championship, and it didn't disappoint. This weekend it's Munster's turn. There's also the big clash of Tyrone and Monaghan up north, which somehow isn't being televised. But not to worry, we'll have live updates from Malachy Clerkin who is at Healy Park.

Be sure to get in touch throughout, via either the comments section ('Contact Us' tab) or on Twitter (@DonoghueEamon).

    Let's get started!
  • 13:45

    Ulster SFC quarter-final
Tyrone v Monaghan, Healy Park, 4pm

    Leinster SHC round 2
Kilkenny v Offaly, Nowlan Park, 3pm
Wexford v Dublin, Innovate Wexford Park, 3pm

    Munster SHC round 1
Limerick v Tipperary, Gaelic Grounds, 2pm
Cork v Clare, Pairc Ui Chaoimh, 4pm

  • 13:46
  • 14:08
Limerick 0-2 Tipperary 0-2 (5') After the first five minutes at the Gaelic Grounds and Jason Forde gets a nice handy free to get him underway.
  • 14:10
Limerick 0-3 Tipperary 0-2 (6') Graeme Mulcahy gets his second point. the first was in the right corner, he tucked back inside and tapped it over. This time he floats it over from the left sideline. Great start from the Limerick corner forward.
  • 14:16

Limerick 0-3 Tipperary 0-2 (13') Jason Forde had won a close-range free but an off the ball incident results in that becoming a throw ball and John McGrath picking up a yellow.

Meanwhile Gearoid Hegarty registers Limerick's sixth wide and their third in a row.

  • 14:17

Limerick 0-3 Tipperary 0-3 (15') Jason Forde's second free ends a period of 10 minutes in which Tipp had not scored. Yet they are still level.

  • 14:18
Brian Hogan pulls off a brilliant reflex save after Hegarty got a strong flick on to a high ball into the square. Six wides and a goal chance missed already by the home team.
  • 14:19

Limerick 0-4 Tipperary 0-3 (17') Aaron Gillane puts Limerick back in front with a free.

  • 14:22

Limerick 0-6 Tipperary 1-3 (20') A double block, first by Seamus Hickey and then Sean Finn raises the roof at the Gaelic Grounds. But Tipp win it back and lump it in. John McGrath pulls on it one handed, it comes back off the post and Dan McCormack follows up to raise the green flag.

Aaron Gillane responds with his third free, before Mulcahy adds another.

  • 14:25

Limerick 0-7 Tipperary 1-5 (24')  A third free for Jason Forde puts Tipp ahead before Tom Morrissey snaps up a break, shakes off the tackle and gets his first point after two earlier wides.

And then Forde gets a fourth free.

  • 14:27

Limerick 0-8 Tipperary 1-5 (26')  Aaron Gillane catches the puck out. His handpass is loose but he wins it back and blazes it over the bar. His fourth point and his first from play.

  • 14:29

Limerick 0-9 Tipperary 1-6 (28')  John McGrath is on fire. Hickey pushes him out to the sideline but he backs himself, and rightly so. Cian Lynch squeezes one over in response. A very exciting game so far

  • 14:31

Limerick 0-10 Tipperary 1-7 (30')  Mulcahy draws three men to him, handpasses it out to Flanagan who floats his first point over. Before Noel McGrath strikes one across his body from the left corner. That was a special score.

  • 14:32
  • 14:34

Limerick 0-11 Tipperary 1-8 (33')  Jason Forde gets his fifth free, from the left hand side about 60m out. His most difficult so far, but he's on form.

Mulcahy then drills over his fourth point from play down the other end. End to end!

  • 14:36

Limerick 0-12 Tipperary 1-9 (35')  Another Forde free (it's a miracle Seamus Hickey has yet to get a yellow card with all this fouling). Before Darragh O'Donovan gets in on the act.

Two minutes of first half additional time to be played.

  • 14:41

HT Limerick 0-12 Tipperary 1-10 Forde puts Tipp ahead on the strike of half-time. They only have three points from play. The fouling is killing Limerick.

The teams have been level 10 times in that first half and despite Limerick being marginally on top, Tipperary have been more clinical.

So that's that . . . Monaghan prove too good for Tyrone, in a strangely high scoring Ulster SFC clash. Limerick impress against a disjointed Tipperary, Cork blow Clare away in added time, Dublin caught at the death again and Kilkenny make it two from two.

Match reports and analysis already filtering in from around the grounds.

Until then, thanks for joining us. @DonoghueEamon
