    Good afternoon!

Welcome to our coverage of France's final Goup C fixture against Denmark in Moscow (kick-off 3.0).

Les Bleus are yet to really convince in Russia but their place in the last-16 in secure - a point today would see them top the group.

Denmark meanwhile need a point to guarantee progression to the knockouts. If they lose at the Luzhniki Stadium - and Australia beat Peru - they're down at the first hurdle.

I take it everyone is backing the draw, then?!

The heatwave has arrived just as the World Cup is really hotting up -we'll be bringing you all of the action from Moscow as the next two sides to reach the last-16 are revealed.

    Come on!!!

Deschamps has really shuffled his pack today, with Paul Pogba, Hugo Lloris and Kylian Mbappe among those rested.

Olivier Giroud leads the line again, with Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele and Thomas Lemar behind him. Steven N'Zonzi comes into midfield alongside N'Golo Kante. Steve Mandanda, Raphael Sidibe and Presnely Kimpembe also come in.

Two changes for Denmark -  Martin Braithwaite in for Yussuf Poulsen, while Andreas Cornelius replaces Lasse Schone.

    PERMUTATIONS

France have secured their spot in the last-16 after narrow wins over Australia and Peru, with Denmark currently best placed to follow them out of the group.

Age Hareide’s side have four points from their opening two fixtures against the South Americans and Australia - a draw against France would guarantee the runners-up spot, while victory would see them top the group.

Australia can still qualify providing they beat Peru - who are already out - and France beat Denmark. Should that happen, goals scored could come into play - the Socceroos goal difference is currently two inferior to the Danes. Should they win the group as expected, France could meet Argentina in the last-16

A huge roar meets the end of  La Marseillaise.

We'll be keeping you up to date with the clash between Australia and Peru in Sochi as well.

  • 15:00

Today's ref is Sandro Ricci of Brazil.

    BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

  • 15:02
2 min: France wearing white today and they have ownership of the ball in the early stages. Griezmann clatters Sisto to give Denmark a freekick and the chance to clear.
  • 15:05
4 min: Good play from Braithwaite as he runs onto a bouncing ball into the box. He takes a touch and goes to ground under a challenge from Kimpembe - Denmark want a penalty, or at least a review, but replays show there was no contact. Good decision.
  • 15:07
6 min: Braithwaite has caused a few problems early on. He plays a one-two with Dalsgaard in midfield and then bursts forward, with Kante having to scamper across to turn the ball behind for a corner kick. It's swung in towards Kjaer and headed behind.
  • 15:08
8 min: Good ball to release Griezmann down the inside-right channel and he crosses towards Giroud but it's well cleared. Even start.
  • 15:09
    10 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0
  • 15:11
10 min: Dembele jinks on the right and then tries to switch the play to Hernandez but massively overcooks his pass. Braithwaite causing problems on the right again, he battles with Hernandez and Kimpembe - looked like a corner, doesn't get it.
  • 15:13
13 min: Not an awful lot happening at the Luzhniki.
  • 15:17

15 min: Patient spell of possession with Denmark looking comfortable. It's switched to Hernandez on the left. He changes the pace and finds Giroud in the box, going to ground as he bursts inside for the return pass. Dalsgaard got the ball.

Giroud's shot is deflected behind - Kimpembe heads wide from the corner.

  • 15:17
  • 15:19

18 min: Griezmann gives the ball away looking for Lemar. Denmark break through Cornelius but runs himself into a blind alley.

Goal in Sochi! Australia 0 Peru 1 (Carillo 18 min)

    20 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0
  • 15:22
21 min: As it stands France and Denmark are cruising into the last-16. Don't expect any shift in intensity in this game any time soon.
  • 15:25
24 min: Finally a burst of pace from France in attack and Kante slips in Sidibe. His cross in blocked and he wants a penalty - the ref isn't interested.
  • 15:27
26 min: Free-kick for France in the inside left channel, Lemar's left-footed delivery is a good one and Kjaer turns it behind smartly. Dembele's corner is headed away by Christensen.
  • 15:31
29 min: Griezmann dances towards the box and crosses to... nobody. Denmark break down the left through Cornelius and he lays a good ball across the box to Eriksen. He hares into the box but Mandanda is out quickly with Hernandez also covering. Again Denmark want a penalty but nothing doing.

    30 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0
  • 15:33
33 min: Dembele has the ball a long way out and switches neatly back onto his right, then pulls a shot a yard wide of the left post. Schmeichel had it covered.
  • 15:37
37 min: No real chances to speak of in Moscow. Not much to speak of at all, really.
  • 15:38
    38 min: Australia 0 Peru 1
  • 15:40
39 min: France break and there's a first real glimpse of Griezmann, turning onto his left on the edge and trying to curl one into the top left corner - too close to Schmeichel.
  • 15:40
    40 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0
  • 15:44
43 min: That's the best chance of the half. Griezmann makes a good run into the box which Lemar picks out. He lays it off to Giroud who sends his first-time effort miles over. The flag is raised belatedly.
  • 15:48
46 min: The ball is headed clear as far as Eriksen who takes a touch and shoots - it's deflected for a corner off Nzonzi. Eriksen swings it in and France break through Griezmann - he carries deep into the Danish half and is hacked down by Jorgensen who takes one for the team.

One of the least enthralling halves of football so far this summer. Wouldn't look out of place on a pre-season tour.

But given Australia are losing 1-0 to Peru at half time, any cries of a European conspiracy are currently redundant.

  • 16:03
    We're back underway!
  • 16:06
47 min: The ball is crossed towards Giroud who crashes to the turf - he has a free-kick awarded against him for a tug on Jorgensen.
  • 16:07
49 min: Good ball played to Griezmann between the lines but he turns away from goal rather than opting to run at his man. Zzzz.

  • 16:08
50 min: First change for France, Benjamin Mendy replacing Hernandez.
  • 16:09

Goal! Australia 0 Peru 2 (Guerrero 50 min)

Peru's skipper gets his goal and that's all she wrote. Australia need to score four now and hope France can find a winner.

  • 16:11
53 min: Both sides have picked up where they left off. I think we're staring down the barrel of the tournament's first 0-0.
  • 16:12
54 min: But then Eriksen goes for goal with a speculative free-kick which Mandanda parries towards Cornelius - the French 'keeper scrambles and picks up the pieces.
  • 16:14
  • 16:14
There's nothing happening here so there's a picture of Peru captain Guerrero celebrating after scoring his side's second.
  • 16:18
59 min: A change for Denmark - Sisto replaced by Viktor Fischer.
  • 16:18
    60 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0
  • 16:20
62 min: Good harrying from Delaney down the right and he forces Kimpembe into conceding a corner. Mandanda fists away Eriksen's delivery. France break but Dembele gives the ball away on the left.
  • 16:22
  • 16:24
66 min: Smart cross from Cornelius into the box and Mendy does well to stop Delaney following up on the right. That's about as exciting as it gets at the moment.
  • 16:26

68 min: Mendy gets down the outside but decides to slow his run and then drift a poor cross beyond the three white shirts in the box.

Another French change, Fekir comes on for Griezmann.

  • 16:28
70 min: Fekir takes a touch and lets fly, rifling the ball into the side-netting. For a moment, half the ground think he's scored - the hexagonal nets on display in Russia can be brilliantly misleading.

    70 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0

    70 min: Australia 0 Peru 2

  • 16:32

74 min: Good ball in from the left but Giroud's glancing header is well wide of the far post.

Another Danish change - the exciting Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg replaces Cornelius.

  • 16:34
76 min: Kjaer pumps one of his trademark raking balls forward and Kimpembe nods it down towards Eriksen on the edge but he's quickly snuffed out.
  • 16:35
77 min: Good defending from Dalsgaard and he plays a good ball to Dolberg down the right. The break is on for Denmark but he has no support.
  • 16:35
77 min: OLES ring round as Denmark keep the ball on the halfway line.
  • 16:35
78 min: Kylian Mbappe replaces Dembele.
  • 16:37
79 min: Giroud gets the ball on the edge with his back to goal, takes a touch, spins... and sends his volley into outer space.
  • 16:37
    80 MIN: DENMARK 0 FRANCE 0
  • 16:39
81 min: Boos ring out aorund the Luzhniki as Schmeichel takes ages to clear.
  • 16:40
  • 16:42
84 min: Fekir has been sharp since he's come on and he plays a nice ball into Mbappe on the edge. He tries to turn but it quickly snuffed out.
  • 16:42
85 min: France have it on the left and it's worked to Giroud in the box, who goes down under a challenge from Kjaer. Replays show the France striker was just backing into the Danish skipper - never a pen.
  • 16:44
86 min: Jeers and whistles around Moscow as Denmark hold onto the ball deep inside their own half with nobody pressing. This is bordering on farcical.
  • 16:48
90 min: Three minues added time.
  • 16:49
91 min: A nice injection of pace from Mbappe and he battles his way into the box but the ball just scoots away from him.
